Das Vortragen und Präsentieren fachlicher und wissenschaftlicher Inhalte und Themen gehört zu den Schlüsselqualifikationen im akademischen, beruflichen und sozialen Umfeld. Das Seminar vermittelt grundlegendes Wissen und Fertigkeiten der rhetorischen Kommunikation, vor allem in Vortrag und Präsentation. Weiterhin bietet dieses Seminar eine Einführung in die theoretischen Grundlagen (Geschichte der Rhetorik, Syntax, Stilistik), Wesensmerkmale und Wirkungsanforderungen mündlicher Kommunikation. Es werden Basisfähigkeiten des kommunikativen Handelns wie Stimmsteuerung, Artikulationsnorm, Phonostilistik und nonverbales Verhalten trainiert. Selbsterfahrung und reflektierendes Wahrnehmen und Beschreiben von kommunikativen Handlungen sollen zur Steuerung kommunikativer Wirkungen führen. Die sprecherischen Fertigkeiten und kommunikativen Fähigkeiten der Studierenden werden anhand von Audio- und Videoaufnahmen analysiert. Die Prüfungsmodalitäten werden im Seminar bekanntgegeben. Trainingsschwerpunkte: Formen der mündlichen Kommunikation (Rede und Vortrag), Fertigkeiten des Sprechdenkens und Hörverstehens, Redevorbereitung, Entwicklung von Stichwortkonzepten, Möglichkeiten eines wirksamen Redeaufbaus, Medieneinsatz, Strukturieren von Äußerungen in der Rede, Präsentationstechniken, Reflexion der eigenen Sprecherwirkung (Stimme, Sprechausdruck, Körperausdruck)

The skills required for giving lectures and presentations on specialist or academic topics are crucial for anyone working in any academic, professional or social environment. This seminar prepares students to give lectures and presentations based on the main princip-les and skills pertaining to the theory of rhetorical communication. Furthermore this seminar offers an introduction to the theoretical foundation (history of rhetoric, syntax, stylistics), characteristics of oral communication as well as a training in fundamental skills such as voice control, articulation norms, phonostylistics as well as non-verbal behaviour. Self-awareness, reflective perception and description of communicative actions are included in order to produce a greater awareness of the effects speakers have on listeners. The vocal skills and communicative abilities of students will be analysed on the basis of audio and video recordings. The examination requirements will be announced in class. Skills: types of oral communication (giving lectures and making speeches), cognitive oral and aural skills, preparing a speech, making notes, effective structuring of a speech, me-dia input, structuring of key points/note making, presentation techniques, assessment of student’s own performance in speaking (voice, modulation, body language).
