Comment
Like in all religious traditions, politics and religion are closely linked in Islam as well. This interconnectedness is documented and legitimated through explanations of the world to organize human perceptions. Historically grounded orders of justification shall help make them plausible. What sort of justification narratives were privileged by Muslims to encounter societal dynamics and how were they refined? We will deal with normative orders developed in early Islamic period and early modern times as they evolved in mysticism, philosophy, law and politics. Participants are required to present and discuss one of the topics and provide minutes for any another session. The program will be available by April 2020. Please enroll in the moodle room.
